Alex brought so much joy into my life. His smile was infectious. I enjoyed sharing moments exploring the things that brought him the most joy. They were simple things that most of may miss and not even notice. The sound, the smell, the feel or the way something reflects light…. Alex didn’t miss them and when I worked with him he often reminded me to slow down and notice them too. I am grateful for that. Alex also had an orneriness about him that was so delightful.

And Val and Joe, I want to thank you for allowing me to work with your son and for supporting whatever crazy idea Tami and I came up with to do with Alex. I have been deeply touched by watching how you loved and cared for Alex. He was very lucky to have you both as parents. I can only imagine how you will miss your sweet Alex. My deepest condolences to you both, Bradley and the rest of your family.

  • Robin Hyde says:

I will miss Alex dearly. I loved spending time with him listening to music (he sure loved his 80’s hard rock), reading stories (big fan of Piggie and Gerald), and shaking our rain sticks (for no reason at all). Alex I learned together these last three years and it is hard to picture a world without him in it.The world has lost an absolute angel and I am lucky I was able to spend the time I did with him. Big hugs from family to yours.

  • Cynthia Tolliver says:

My condolences to you and your family. I had the opportunity of meeting Alex on one occasion but I’ve always heard so much about him from his aunt Susan. I pray that you find comfort in all the beautiful memories you shared with him. They are forever engraved in your hearts.
