Barbara Fagan


Barbara Fagan, age 94, was born as Barbara Betty Baker on May 30, 1924 in Columbus, OH. She peacefully met the Lord on Christmas night.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Maurice and Ora Baker; sisters, Eleanora McCleery and Charlotte Pritchard; brother, Maurice Baker; beloved son, Mark Fagan and grandson, Troy Bowman.

 Survived by her loving family, Scott (Libby) Fagan of Delaware, OH,  Charel (Steve) Bowman of Powell, OH and Brian (Cathleen) Fagan of Cincinnati, OH; grandchildren, Garrin, Kyla, Mark, Tessa, Kent, Cynthia and Brad; great-grandchildren, Breckin and Ava; favorite nephews, Reed Harney – world traveler and JP (Paula) Pritchard of Virginia; nieces, Pam Harding and Jan Maylay of New Jersey.

She was affectionately known as Baba to her family and friends. Baba was full of life with a ready smile and was an avid Buckeye Fan for decades. She was also a proud member of NWUMC.

A Memorial Service to Celebrate Baba’s Life will be held at 12 Noon on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at N.W. United Methodist Church, 5200 Riverside Dr. Columbus, OH 43220. A Luncheon will begin at 12 Noon with Memorial Service to follow at 2 PM.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in her honor to Heinzerling Community, 1800 Heinzerling Dr. Columbus, OH 43223.

    A great Lady whose contagious laughter brought happiness to all around her. I still have a bottle of her aged home brew Kahlua that will become a Christmas ritual for me throughout the coming years as I reflect on her memory.
