Charles Allen Stuart


 

Charles Allen Stuart, age 72, of Columbus, Ohio died February 3, 2020 at OSU East Hospital following a brief illness.  He was born in Waterproof, Louisiana on March 20, 1947, the son of the late E.G. and Ione Stuart.  On September 21, 1998 he married Carolyn A. (Bollman) Stuart and together they shared almost 30 years.  Allen is survived by his wife, Carolyn; daughters, Laurel Lind (Rupa) McCarthy and Melissa Rogers; grandchildren, Nila, Jai & Luna McCarthy and Jessica Chavez; nephew, Nathaniel Bollman; niece, Michelle (Micah) White; godchildren, Jordan and Blair Fieber, Crystianna & Rhianna Rano (Evan Jones); friends, Rita and Chuck Graham, Crystal (Vince O’Brien) Fletcher, Bryan May and best buddy, Lacey.  He is preceded in death by his son, Mark; parents, E.G. and Ione; and brother, Bobby.  Allen owned several bar restaurants throughout the years.  He grew up in Louisiana and lived in North Carolina before moving to Ohio.  Allen was a skilled carpenter and amazing chef.  He was known for his chicken wings.  The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Staff of OSU East Hospital ICU department for all they did to comfort Allen and his family.  A Celebration of Life will take place on March 20, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. with a gathering prior from Noon – 1:00 P.M. all at Whitehall United Methodist Church, 525 Bernhard Road, Whitehall, Ohio 43213.  Memorial contributions can be made by contacting Ohio Cremation & Memorial Society at 614-840-0900.  Please visit www.OhioCremation.org to leave the family an online condolence.
