|Denver D. Saltkield, 82, passed away on September 6, 2017 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Denver was born October 11, 1934 to Orpha Winrod (deceased) & Charles Saltkield (deceased). Denver is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Elizabeth K. Saltkield, the love of his life whom he called “my girl.” Denver is survived by his three girls: Pam (Lee) Temple, Cheryl Saltkield, Cathy (Fred) Miller. Grandchildren: Shae (Brian) Wilkinson, Tiffany Saltkield, Isaiah Miller, Christopher Miller, Adam Temple (deceased), & Trevor Temple. Great-grandchildren: Ethan Saltkield, Luke Day, Steven Day, Aaliyah Day, Caity Wilkinson, & Faith Wilkinson. Denver is survived by his brothers Gilbert Saltkield & Charles Saltkield. Brother Lee Saltkield (deceased). Sisters June Carol (deceased) & Elva Jean (deceased). Denver is a retired crane operator of the former Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Corporation with 40 plus years of service. Denver also had a heating & air business, Dales Heating & Air with 40 plus years of business. Denver lived his life by these sayings that he instilled in his girls, “Anything worth doing is worth doing right” & “If you aren’t going to do it right don’t do it at all.”. Growing up he always said, “I love you a bushel & a peck & a hug around the neck.”. A memorial service to celebrate Denver’s life will be held at a later date.
