James Kevin Brown

James Kevin Brown, age 63, of Lancaster, Ohio died June 29, 2021 at the Pickering House following a brief illness.  On June 5, 1958, he was born in Walled Lake, Michigan, the son of the late Harry Brown and Betty (Gaedt) Brown.

James is survived by his wife, Connie (Holland) Brown; daughters, Amanda Brown and Jacqueline (Trent) Montgomery; grandsons, Landon, Camden & Hayden Montgomery; sisters, Julie (Jamie) Baker, Terri (Rod) Eyman, Leslie (Randy) Morefield, and Ronda (Steve) Sells; brother-in-law, Tom (Michelle) Holland; several nieces and nephews; & grand-dogs, Bode and Cooper.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Betty Brown; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ernie and Dorothy Holland; and his grandparents.

James grew up in Michigan, but moved to Ohio as a teenager with his family.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping, especially with his grandkids.

James started and ran several NA meetings at Maple Street United Methodist Church for the last 10+ years.  His sobriety and helping others through this process was one of his proudest achievements.  James’ family misses him deeply and will always cherish their time together.

The family would like to thank the Staff of Pickering House for the care and comfort they provided during this difficult time.

On Friday, July 2, 2021, a visitation will take place from 2:00 P.M. – 3:00 P.M. with a service at 3:00 P.M. at Maple Street United Methodist Church, 438 E.
