Jimmy L. Moore, Jr.

Jimmy L. Moore, Jr. age 64 of Columbus, died suddenly, Saturday July 17, 2021 at St. Ann’s Hospital. Jimmy was born January 28, 1957 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Rev. Jimmy L. Moore, Sr and Regina (Beasley) Moore. On June 14, 1980 he married Karen Moore in Steubenville, Ohio In addition to his parents, Jimmy is preceded in death by a sister Lynette Moore and a brother Marvin Moore. He is survived by his wife of 41 years Karen Moore, daughter LaNiece Matthews, son and daughter-in-law Lerron and Jennifer Moore, sister Schemell Moore and a host of nieces and nephews. Jimmy is a 1986 graduate of The Ohio State University where he played football for legendary Coach Woody Hayes. He also played in the National Football League for the Baltimore Colts. Jimmy was an Insurance Agent/Broker for Erie Insurance and Progressive Insurance with the Moore Insurance Agency. Services will be private. Contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association in his memory
