Joseph G. Clifton

Joseph “Joe” Gregory Clifton (aka Travelin Joe), 55 years old, of Middletown, Ohio, passed from this life on Saturday, May 1, at 7:08 AM at Grant Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He had been hospitalized since February 2021 with congestive heart failure. Joe was born on October 8, 1965 in Cincinnati, Ohio.

He is survived by his sweetheart, Jammie Parsley; daughter, CheyAnne Adkins; grandchildren, Lyric, Ripley and Layne; mother, Janet Knee; sisters, Linda Deal (Lee) and Erin Jackson (Josiah); brother, Dave Clifton. He also leaves his birth family, mother, Deb Ball (Cheryl Veach); brothers, Roger Ball (Bobbie), Mike Ball, Chris Ball (Frankie) and Danny Ball (Carolyn). He loved and raised four stepchildren, Shelby, Logan, Tristan and Maddy for over a decade and never lost touch with them. Joe also left many nieces and nephews who will miss him greatly.

He was preceded in death by fathers, Dave Knee and Harry Clifton.

Joe worked in a variety of jobs, most recently he was a loader driver for insurance auto auction. He was often sent to different parts of the country to assist in local catastrophes.

Joe was an avid fisherman and enjoyed being a part of nature. He loved music and going to rock concerts, those were always among his favorites. He never met a stranger and was always the first to offer his help to anyone. He has made numerous friends all over the country. Two years ago he was very excited to finally go to Alaska, this completed the final 49th state of the continental United States he had visited.

Joe will always be remembered and greatly missed.

A celebration of life will take place at 7:00 PM on Friday, May 7, 2021 at Trenton Fisherman’s Club, 225 Potter Ave. or 109 S. Miami St. Trenton,  OH 45067

    I never met Joe but wish I had. He seemed to be a great person who lived life his way…and to the fullest.

    I’ve never seen my friend, his girlfriend, Jammie so happy. Together, they were wonderful. Both of them were always smiling and you could see the strong love they had for each other.

    Rest easy in heaven Joe; many heartfelt condolences to Jammie and all his amazing family.
