Joyce will be missed by many and I have many fond memories of our times that we shared, she has gone home now where there is no pain or sorrow, my prayers are for those who she left behind

  • Robert Connor Jr says:

Joyce we will miss you. For without you babysitting our sons during their developmental years they would not have become the men they are today. I can’t of one person that was part of their grew that is not successful. Thank you and we will miss you.

  • Dr. Lawrence Willis says:

Ricardo, Joyce will be truly missed. Throughout her life she nurtured, blessed and made a difference to so many family and friends. And heaven is rejoicing as Joyce has rejoined her parents, siblings and children.
Family, although the coming days will seem dark and cold, just know the thoughts of Joyce will soon bring smiles to your hearts.
May the Comfort and Peace of Christ be with you.

  • Tiana Matthews says:

Despite Ms. Joyce having 26 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren she reserved a little more space in her heart and in her life to act as a mother to my mom and a grandmother to me. All of my fondest memories from the time I moved to Columbus, Ohio involve her. From going to her house for pictures before my high school dances (despite knowing that my date was going to have all sorts of jokes and embarrassing things told to them about me), going to her weekly salon appointments, or just relaxing and watching the stories with her while she ironed the clothes. She was one of the best things about my childhood and one of the anchors during my adulthood to my past. She was there for my immediate family and my created family whenever we called upon her. Despite being halfway across the country, she organized and helped me welcome my first born daughter into the world with a baby shower and helped to organize my brother’s graduation parties. The happy stories and occasions are endless! I will always love and miss her humor, charisma, care, and presences in my life. And even though her not being here physically causes much pain – the love she imparted into my heart shines so much brighter. I know her and my mother are enjoying the peace of heaven together. Thank you Ms. Joyce for being the best grandmother I could ask for! Love you always! – Tiana
