Marvin Hoyt Cox Jr. was born on July 3, 1970 in Columbus, Ohio to the union of the late Marvin Cox Sr. and late Joyce Smith.
Marvin was a graduate of Northland High School in Columbus, OH. After high school, Marvin attended Central State University in Wilberforce, OH.
Some of the things Marvin found enjoyable were: spending time with Linnie, getting dressed up, watching his favorite football team, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and interacting with his daughter and special sons.
The morning of Thursday, January 7, 2021, after an extended illness, God called Marvin home.
Marvin leaves to cherish his memory daughter, Samara Israel; Special friend, LeVonna “Linnie” Nelson; sister, Donna Jackson; brothers, Mark (Ruth) Small, and Marcus (Amanda) Cox; step-father, Ricardo Smith; special “sons”, Devonte McCoy and Admir; special granddaughters, Lanai Kirk and Camari Ragland. He is preceded in death by his parents, Marvin Cox, Sr. and Joyce Smith and sister, Kelly Cox.
Marvin will be greatly missed by all those who loved him. A Virtual Memorial is scheduled for family and friends on Friday, January 15, 2021. Details are shown below.
