Mason R. Pittman

Mason Reed Pittman, age 25, of Columbus, OH passed away Wednesday, September 15, 2021 unexpectedly in a automobile accident. The son of Matthew Pittman and Traci Varner, he was born on September 19, 1995 in Columbus, OH.

Surviving are his Fiancée, Lydia Garrett; daughter, Juniper; sisters, Madison (Lowe), Allison and Hannah; brothers, Adam, Hayden and Hunter; brother-in-law, Hayden Lowe; beloved step-father, Jeff Erml; step-mother, Tina Pittman; grandparents, Jerry and Delores Pittman, Jerry and Judy Wilson, and George and Carol Erml; as well as many beloved aunts, uncles and cousins. He was loved by little Hamza.

Mason was well traveled having lived in Medina, OH, Charlotte, NC and Searcy AR. His opening and closing chapters were in Columbus, OH. Mason was very creative and one way he expressed it was in his artwork. He was an excellent chef with skills in making many types of foods, sweets and drinks. Mason also had a passion for and collected a vast library of music, movies and television series. Mason was a very caring and loving person. He tried to put everyone at ease. Mason was very quick-witted and really enjoyed making those around him laugh. If there was an award for knowing the most trivial information, he would certainly win hands down.

To all who have uttered prayers and sent messages of support to this family we express our deepest gratitude. While Mason’s unexpected passing has been deeply disturbing the words of encouragement, love, memories and concern have been most welcome.

A celebration of Mason’s life will take place at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at the Scioto Grove Metro Park,  5172 Jackson Pike, Grove City, OH 43123.
