Nancy Cheryl Vest

Nancy Cheryl Vest, age 65, of Columbus, Ohio died December 24, 2019.  She was born in Columbus, Ohio on August 26, 1954 to the late David and Evelyn Vest.  Nancy is survived by her sons, T.J. (Tammy) Meade and Chad (Cinnamon) Meade; grandchildren, Coty (Sarah) Meade, Casey Meade, Kimberly Meade, Bear (Madison) Anthony and Brooklyn Anthony; three great-grandchildren, Carson Meade, Charlee Meade and Quinten Meade; brother, Larry Vest; sister, Vicky (Connie) DeHeart; many cousins, nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Austin.  She is preceded in death by her parents, David and Evelyn Vest; siblings, Carole Vest, Mike Vest and Ricky Vest; and her dog, Boston.  Nancy spent many years taking care of others as a nurse.  She loved spending time with her family.  Her proudest achievement was raising her boys and her many bonus children.  Nancy was a straight shooter and you always knew where you stood with her, but she also had a very kind and caring heart.  She was truly loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.  A Celebration of Life will be announced at a future date.  Please visit to leave her family an online condolence.

    My condolences and prayers to her family. Ms. Nancy did not play when it came to taking care of the residents. She would straight put you in your place but she was also very loving and caring. I was excited to hear she would be returning to work.. I will really miss her.     Nancy and I worked along side together as nurses at Meadow Grove. She helped train me when I first started at the facility and was beyond welcoming. Her passion for nursing was amazing. She was adored by so many residence and staff; loving, caring, knowledgeable, and honest which made her very respected by all. This is such a great loss for so many. Thoughts and prayers to your family. Nancy you will be greatly missed.

    Nancy will be missed dearly, I was excited to hear she was coming back to work couldn’t wait to see her again and hear her whistling down the halls. Nancy was a straight to the point person I loved it. She may have been tough, but she always gave a listening ear and a shoulder to lean on when she could tell we needed it. Forever in my heart I will miss you Nancy.
