Nicole “Nikki” Hockenberry

Nicole “Nikki” E. Hockenberry, age 49, passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2019.  Nikki was an amazing person.  She loved life and fought every day to live life to the fullest.  She truly knew how to love without strings or expectations and made sure you knew you were loved and not alone.  She loved thunderstorms, walking barefoot on the grass with the morning dew making her feet wet, and a good bonfire.  Nikki also loved Irish whiskey, a good cup of coffee, and blasting music while driving fast with the windows down and the wind blowing through her hair.  She wrote poetry and found the beauty in everything and everyone.  Nikki saw the uniqueness in every person because she was unique herself.  She was loved and will be dearly missed.  She is survived by her siblings, Melissa Nabulsi (nee Hockenberry), Amanda (Mark) Harbath, Sarah (David) Millikin, Rebecca (Robert) Bradshaw, Mamie Hockenberry, Josiah (Amanda) Hockenberry, Sr., and Joshua Hockenberry; step-father, Bruce Lewis; aunt, Judy Gynn; Nieces and nephews, Billy Harbath, Maggie Harbath, Isaiah Dukes, Preston Bradshaw, Makayla Bradshaw, Allison Hockenberry, Sophia Hockenberry, Josiah Hockenberry, Jr., Miranda Hockenberry, and Cheyenne Deck; cousins, Janet (Aaron) Myricks, Stacy (John) Schmitz and their children Violet and Scarlett, and Marcie Young; fur baby, Daisy Mae; and fur niece, Lily.  Nikki was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth (Melanie) Hockenberry; mother, Barbara (nee Gynn) Lewis; and her uncle, Douglas Scott Gynn, II.  A memorial service will be held at Ohio Cremation and Memorial Society, 5464 N. High Street, Columbus, Ohio 43214, on Saturday, August 17, 2019.  Gathering will begin at 12:00 p.m. with the service beginning at 12:30 p.m. with a 2:00 p.m. conclusion.  There will be an additional service in Cleveland on August 31, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Jerome, 15000 Lakeshore Blvd., Cleveland, Ohio.  An afterlife party will be in Cleveland in the fall.  Date, time, and places have yet to be determined.  Until we meet again in Summerland, RIP my sweet friend.

May You

Twinkle like the Stars

Shine like the Moon

Give warmth like the Sun

Sway like the Trees

Flow like the Water

Travel like the Wind

& glow with passion like a Flame
