Palma Louise “Pam” Schneider

Palma Louise (Pam) Brown Schneider, 80, of Reynoldsburg, Ohio passed away peacefully on July 25, 2020, with family by her side.  Palma was born on October 3, 1939 in Dayton, Ohio to Joseph and Marcene (Forkner) Brown.  She was a graduate of Tecumseh High School.

Pam became a military wife in 1958 and was able to travel to many places in the world.  She had two children, Craig and Kelley, and she was a wonderful, devoted mother to the end. Pam enjoyed gardening, puttering around the house, sewing, hanging out with her favorite neighbor Linda, visits with her wonderful sister Maryjo, her yearly garage sale, lunches with her girlfriends, a good thrift store and hosting the annual Christmas luncheon for the Ya Ya’s.  She always kept in touch with her many friends from New Carlisle and continued friendships with them throughout her life.  Pam was a friend to everyone she met and was always willing to lend an ear.

Pam is survived by her son Craig (Sarah) Sargent and daughter Kelley (Christy) Sargent; granddaughters Nicole, Natalie and Jessica Sargent; sister Mary Jo (David) Hayes; brother Bill (Debbie) Brown; mother-in-law Agrafjana Farringer; and former spouse and friend Robert Sargent.   She has many nieces and nephews. Craig and Kelley,

We are saddened to hear of your loss. We know what a wonderful person your mother was. Whether is was as a neighbor/friend for Joanna and Annie or a co-worker such as Tom, Pam’s warm heart shown through every encounter. We feel a great loss so we can only imagine how difficult this time is for you. Please remember that your mom touched a lot of people in her life and those touches go on in others and will for generations to come. Thank you for sharing her with us.

Bless you both. We wish you peace and serenity.

  • Susie and Gordon says:

Deepest sympathy to the family. Pam was a very sweet, kind, gentle and thoughtful lady. I cherish all the handmade gifts she made for me (earrings, potholders, scarves and her special Christmas chex mix). Gordon loved to visit her and have long chats that took them down memory lane. It has been a pleasure knowing her for the past 13 years and she will be forever missed.

  • Bill and Glenda says:

Heaven is an even better place now that Pam is there. Such a nice lady. She was the first person we met when we moved into Farmington Meadows. She had a great way of making you feel welcome. She will be greatly missed. Rest in peace Pam.

  • Annette Hudson says:

Pam was a ray of sunshine and added the warmth of friendship to every resident she met at Farmington Meadows. I will miss the casual conversations we had on her porch and mine, mostly on the topic of what we were making on our sewing machines. Pam cared about everyone. May God continue to keep you as you learn to live without her.

  • K D Thompson says:

  • Dotti Vance says:

To the family of Pam Schneider we send our most sincere condolences for the passing of Pam. Although it is only a temporary separation because you will see her again, we know you will miss her presence here until then. We have certainly missed worshipping with her at church for sometime now, but she has vividly remained in our hearts and prayers.

What a lovely and loving and caring person we were privileged to share our faith and friendship with! I particularly admired her artistic talent with her sewing and jewelry-making creativity. I personally treasure two necklaces she made and gave to me. And her pot holders grace my kitchen and those of friends I patronized Pam for at the many craft events where she was a sought-after vendor.

Although our conversations eventually became far too few, I remember how happy-making and helpful she told me her family had been to her and how much she loved you all.

Blessings to each of you. May God’s peace soon replace your grief.

In Christ’s Love and with ours,
    Dotti and Jack Vance
