Robert Williams

Williams, Robert Picture

Do not go gentle into that good night” – Thomas

Robert E. Williams passed away August 19th, 2017. Born September 22nd, 1938, at midnight on the Equinox. He was truly a man for all seasons. A Graduate of The Ohio State University, he owned & operated Ironmaster steel fabrication & erection for 52 yrs. making it one of the oldest operating companies of its kind in Ohio. Bob celebrated every day with a new adventure. He learned to pilot a plane in his early years; was an avid skier; certified sailing instructor; rode dressage; and golfed, but the passion that propelled him was his love of dance. He & his wife Karynn, trained & taught Ballroom dancing professionally for the 52 years of their marriage. They were members of Denzare & Stardusters dance clubs. Bob studied ballet for 20 yrs. and performed in the Nutcracker. Moving to the country presented a new adventure. He was a charter member of the Ohio Murray Grey Assoc. with the largest herd east of the Mississippi & even imported a bull from Australia. He was also a member of the Ohio Morgan Horse Assoc. & raised a National Champion Park Harness stallion. As a true scholar he spent many hours with online/correspondence courses in agriculture, philosophy, law, etc. He was proud of his Kentucky roots but his true spirit was vested in his little Ohio farm & the satisfaction & solace it gave him. Preceded in death by parents Luther and Marie (Hayes) Williams, brother Tom Williams (Shirley), & daughter Tasha Williams (Grunn). Robert is survived by: wife Karynn Williams (Lovett); children Tyler, Teal, Tia (Moon), & Tennyson; 10 Grandchildren; siblings brother Keith (Nancy) and sister Judy Phillips (Jerry).
