Ruth E. Pinney


Ruth E. Pinney, age 72, of Logan, Ohio died June 24, 2019 at Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster, Ohio following a brief illness.  She was born in Athens, Ohio on May 22, 1947, the daughter of the late Mary Ellen “Ogg” Mingus and William Mingus.  On April 9, 1967 she married Kenneth L. Pinney in Nelsonville, Ohio.  Together they shared 52 years.  Ruth is survived by her husband, Kenneth Pinney; daughters, Kristine “Pinney” Gonyer and Kimberly Pinney; grandson, Roly (Mallory) Gonyer; great-grandson, John Gonyer; sisters, Helen “Mingus” (Greg) Frank; niece, Phyllis Pepin; brother, Joe Mingus; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her sister, Peg “Mingus” Bailey and brother-in-law, Ron Bailey.  Ruth enjoyed crocheting and her proudest achievement was her two daughters.  She is loved and will be missed.  Please visit www.OhioCremation.org to leave the family an online condolence.
