Siegfried Meinstein

Siegfried Meinstein, age 98, passed away Friday, May 31, 2019 in Dublin, Ohio.  He was born on November 15, 1920 in Zirndorf, Germany to his loving parents, Louis Meinstein and Rosa Kimmelstiel.  Siegfried was a veteran, serving as a 1st Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Counterintelligence during World War II. Immediately after the war he met his wife Maria (Mimi). Their marriage lasted 64 years until her demise in 2012. After serving in the Army, he was a lab manager for over 30 years for the Witco Chemical Corporation. Siegfried enjoyed travel and moved around very frequently. However, the place he called home from 1959 until 2012, was Oak Lawn, Illinois. After his Mimi died he moved to Columbus, Ohio to be closer to his son and family. His favorite things to do were to watch current events and sports, read, and snow ski (when younger). One of the most important things passed down to his son, Ron, were his 3 R’s: Respect, Responsibility, and doing what is Right.  Siegfried is survived by his son, Ronald S. and his wife Crystal A. Meinstein; and granddaughters, Elizabeth Klein, Michelle Hammock, and Lisa Meinstein; also seven great grand children. There will be a memorial service held on at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at Burt Avenue Wesleyan Church, 230 Burt Avenue, Coshocton, Ohio 43812.
